Description
The seminar Functional Movement Screen Level 1 focuses on the system for assessing and scoring fundamental movement patterns, motor control and performance of basic movement patterns.
The Functional Movement Screen is a workable assessment system that should be used to determine and design an appropriate exercise programme for each trainee. This can be done as it emphasizes quality of movement over quantity (Movement quality over quantity), and in identifying motor dysfunctions or limitations. Given the broad assumption that the human body is complex by nature and functions as a system, it is necessary to use the movement patterns as a whole. The individual evaluation of joints to identify dysfunctions cannot reflect the complexity of the human body.
The FMS Level 1 begins with an awareness of why movement assessment is important and how it can be an essential tool for designing exercise programmes.
