Accreditation by third-party independent organizations that expressly certify certification programs has a decisive role in the credibility of each program.

The American Academy of Sports Medicine NASM is accredited by the American Commission on Professional Certification (NCCA) as well as by the European Union Health and Exercise Agency (EHFA).

Rescue Training International is accredited by the Federation of First Aid Training Organizations of Great Britain (FOFATO) and by the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance of the Republic of Cyprus (Y.E.K.A.).

NCCA

NCCA is the independent accrediting body of the American Institute for Accreditation Excellence (ICE). Created in 1977, it is responsible for establishing standards of excellence for certification programs that meet specific standards. As of 2012 NCCA had accredited over 300 certification programs for various health professions including dietitians, personal trainers, chiropractors, nurses and occupational therapists.

An NCCA-accredited degree is now essential to many employers in America as it guarantees a well-rounded professional education.

EHFA

As the NCCA sets the standards for certification degrees in America, the European Union Health and Exercise Agency (EHFA), sets the standards in the member countries of the European Union.

EHFA is an independent, non-profit organization based in Brussels. he goal of the Organization is to set high standards in the field of Health and Exercise and to contribute to the reduction of sedentary life – inactivity and obesity, problems that Europe has been facing strongly in the last decade.
